Timothy Curtis Gabbert of Elk River, Minnesota, left this life for his next adventure on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Born in Crystal, Minnesota, August 13, 1956, to Gene and Alene, Tim was an avid sportsman and reader of books, and adept at combining both activities simultaneously whether fishing at his lake cabin or sitting in his deer stand. He also loved to take long walks in the woods, watch his Minnesota Vikings and Twins, and place bets with his wife Janet on which Minnesota Wild player would score a goal. Mr. Gabbert maintained a beautiful lawn and was known for his extravagant "exterior Christmas illuminations." Tim leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Janet and their daughter Kamla. Tim is also survived by his children, Katie and Sean. He also leaves his father, Gene (Dar); aunt, Linda; brother, Dave (Diane); sister, Beth, and sister-in-law, Peggy; nephews and nieces, Mitch, Lindsay, Andrew, Abby, Trevor, Paul Phillip (Jenny), Nick, Mitch, and Caitlin; sister-in-law, Judy (Paul); brother- in-law, Bruce (Clancy); close friends, Tom, Patsy, and Anne Gilgenbach; several cousins and many friends. Tim was predeceased by his mother, Alene; brother, Steve, and father- in-law, Rudy.
