Scott Patrick McCarty, age 61, of Otsego, MN passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 23, 2017. He was born on May 22, 1956 to Ronald and Joyce McCarty in Minneapolis. On November 24, 1984 he married his wife Deborah (Weske) McCarty. Together they had two daughters, Cindy and Renee and a granddaughter Bella. Scott spent the majority of his career working as a pressman for the Star Tribune. He enjoyed cracking jokes, golfing, and most of all spending quality time with his granddaughter. Survivors include his wife: Deborah; his two daughters: Cindy McCarty of St. Michael and Renee McCarty of Kentucky; granddaughter Bella; sister Robin Mady of Kansas; brother and sister-in-law: Randy and Kathy McCarty of Grand Rapids; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Paul and Joyce Weske; and brother-in-law: Robert Mady. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the McCarty's house. The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville, MN assisted the family with arrangements.
