Gary Thomas Olson

Born April 12, 1956 in Mpls to Elwin and Cecelia Olson, died May 28, 2021. Robbinsdale HS 1974 graduate, US Navy veteran (1974-78, USS England), married Jan. 8, 1983.

Hired as machinist at Medtronic's Heart Valve Division, earned Drafting Degree and worked as Draftsman for 22 years. Second 20-year career at Cub Foods until retirement in Nov. 2019. Thoroughly enjoyed helping customers and often was asked for by name. Interests included ham radio, lifetime NASA enthusiast, and on clear nights, telescope views of planets and stars.

Gary is preceded in death by parents and brother, Roger. Survived by wife, Nancy; sons, Tyler (Sara) and Craig (Kylie Carlson); siblings, Karen, Dennis (Barb), David (Joyce) and Duane (Andrea); beloved grandchildren, Corey, Olivia and Alexander; Godson, Jack; many special nieces and nephews.
