Doug Leaver, 57, of Cedar Creek, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2014.

Doug was born in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of the Lyle and Addie Leaver. He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years, starting in Minnesota and ending in Bastrop, Texas.

Doug was a man of integrity and love. "Life is good" and "It is what it is" were his signature sayings. Everyone Doug met was touched by his heart of gold and love for life.

He is survived by his wife, Gaye Jaco; daughters, Jennifer, Rebekah, and Gabby Leaver; bonus children, Shawneen Ricke and husband Todd, Jason Jaco, and Kelly Jaco Rogers and husband Justin; bonus grandchildren, Paige and Cade Ricke, Isaac and Colton Young, Julian Jaco, and Presley Rogers; sisters, Kathryn and Joan Leaver; brother, Ray Leaver and wife Shelley; and his mother, Addie Leaver.
