David Leroy Yungner, age 57, Duluth, MN, died suddenly Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at home. He was born on March 21, 1956 to Donald and June (Gulenchyn) Yungner in Minneapolis, MN. Coming from Brooklyn Center, MN, David lived in Colorado and then in Duluth, MN. He was self employed as a potter. His favorite places were walking the shores of Lake Superior, skiing in Colorado, and ice skating rivers and lakes of Duluth. He is also proud of his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout. David graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1974 and also from Bedmidji State College. He is survived by his father, Donald L. Yungner, Maple Grove, MN; brother, James (Stephanie) Yungner, Good Year, AZ; and sister, Nancy (Randy) Cossette, Maple Grove, MN and his 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He is preceded in death by his mother, June Yungner, in 1984. Services for David will be held Thursday, August 8, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church,7401 County Road 101 Maple Grove, MN. Visitation at 1:00 and service at 2:00. There will also be an open house/pot luck at David's house in Duluth on Saturday, September 7 from 1:00-4:00. David lived a life of serenity and was a true artist of pottery and oragami. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
